Karen Larsen from NBC in Tulsa is officially bringing Celebrate Life 2009 in Tulsa to a close. "We celebrate you, we celebrate life, and look forward to seeing you again in another five years."Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:59 PM
During the event, four mini laptops were set up so celebrants, family members, friends and CTCA Stakeholders could capture their feelings and thoughts about the event on this web site. Those four computers are now being raffled off. People put their names in a basket and Karen Larsen is drawing the names.Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:57 PM
Each celebrant is being invited on stage to be recognized, have their picture taken and receive a picture frame.Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:37 PM
Mr. Stephenson finishes his speech by telling the survivors how much he respects them for their fighting spirit and "How Sweet It Is" to be here in the celebration of life.Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:33 PM
Mr. Stephenson shares that many of the survivors here today because they were seeking integrative cancer care. In addition to some of the most advanced conventional technologies, nutrition, naturopathic medicine, spiritual support, mind-body medicine and compassionate caregivers.Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:23 PM
Mr. Stephenson is talking about HOPE. "If you don't feel hopeless, you don't feel helpless. Hope is real and hope is empowering."Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:03 PM
The Chairman, Richard J Stephenson has taken the stage. Mr. Stephenson is congratulating and saluting our patients for having the courage to leave the comfort of their homes and current care teams to come to CTCA.Posted on 05/29/09 at 1:00 PM
President and CEO Steve Mackin has taken the stage. Steve is recognizing some of the patients who, 5 years ago, helped to design the hospital. The theme of Steve's speech: opportunity takes work. CTCA's patients worked to get better and our care team works everyday to provide better treatment options and care.Posted on 05/29/09 at 12:58 PM
The stories in the video all have an overarching theme: they didn't like the options that were presented to them by they doctor or hospital so looked for something different. Something better.Posted on 05/29/09 at 12:46 PM
On the large screen in the Gallery and on the flat screen monitors they are showing a video that is highlighting the stories of some of the celebrants. The survivors featured in the video are talking about what makes life special to them and their journey to Celebrate Life.Posted on 05/29/09 at 12:43 PM
