New For Celebrate Life 2010
The excitement is already building for Celebrate Life 2010, which promises to be an extraordinary event that will continue to honor the strength, determination and fighting spirit of our survivors.
In 2010, we will give celebrants the opportunity to respond to the event and share their inspiring stories right on the event website. In addition, attendees and those unable to attend the event will be able to post messages of support and encouragement on the website before, during and after the event. This will allow more people to participate in this joyous occasion. We’ll keep you informed of more updates and event details as the celebration of this important milestone draws closer.

Celebrate Life 2010 Tentative Event Agenda
- Thursday evening
- Reception: Celebrants are welcomed to Celebrate Life with an evening reception. This is a time for food, fun and fellowship as we kick-off the celebration of survivorship!
- Friday
- Breakfast and Lunch: Delicious meals are provided to celebrants and their families, allowing time to reminisce with one another.
- CTCA Caregiver Recognition: Many CTCA patients have formed lasting relationships with their CTCA care teams, who are dedicated to their patients and continually provide hope and compassion in every aspect of their day. A special time is set aside during Celebrate Life for celebrants to connect with someone who has made an impact on their journey here at CTCA.
- Celebrants Tree Planting: Each year, we plant trees in honor of our celebrants. The tree symbolizes guardianship, life and the strength that each CTCA patient embodies. Also, celebrants have the opportunity to add their name to a gold leaf on the Tree of Life located in the hospital lobby for all to see
- Hope RoundsSM: We provide our celebrants, “veterans” of the CTCA experience, with an opportunity to share their stories of hope and healing with current CTCA patients. Selected group leaders guide celebrants throughout common areas of the hospital to share encouragement with other patients treating at CTCA.
- Celebrate Life Ceremony: A ceremony is conducted in recognition of our survivors, which includes a Celebrate Life video featuring celebrants and CTCA staff, and a time of recognition for each honoree. The Chairman, Mr. Richard J Stephenson, also congratulates survivors on reaching this significant milestone.
