Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) is a leader in integrative cancer care. With locations across the United States, each of our five world-class cancer hospitals houses advanced treatments and technologies to fight cancer. Our cancer hospitals are warm and welcoming where you can receive your treatment under one roof by an experienced medical team.
We are constantly looking for ways to expand our reach to help more people with cancer. CTCA® at Western Regional Medical Center (Western) offers our exceptional model of cancer care to patients coming from Mexico.
In Arizona, our 213,000-square-foot-facility is located on a 25-acre site in Goodyear, part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. A short plane ride away from numerous metropolitan Mexican cities, CTCA provides a state-of-the-art cancer hospital for people living in Mexico who are fighting cancer.
State-of-the-Art Cancer Hospital
When our hospital in Pheonix opened in December 2008, it was the first all-digital cancer hospital in the nation. Like the other CTCA cancer hospitals, Western houses some of the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources in cancer treatment. It is also the first CTCA hospital to offer Varian Trilogy® with stereotactic radiosurgery, RapidArc™ and respiratory gating. This technology features a linear accelerator that delivers radiotherapy doses at least 60 percent faster than conventional accelerators, making your treatment time faster and more convenient.
The hospital includes 24 private, inpatient, ICU-capable rooms; state-of-the-art radiation therapy and surgical suites; an Infusion Center comprising 26 infusion chairs, two private rooms and a pharmacy; an on-site outpatient clinic; a rehabilitation therapy center; a "Mini Mall" containing a beauty shop; 37 on-site outpatient guest suites; and more.
As a patient at Western, you’ll have one-touch access to education, communication and entertainment options with Skylight's ACCESSTM Interactive Patient System. This workstation is accessible from the hospital’s inpatient rooms, guest suites, infusion areas and library. With a touch of a button, this system allows you to:
- Access treatment information and patient education materials
- Schedule appointments
- Email your family and friends
- Surf the Internet
- Order meals recommended by your dietitian
- Watch movies and access other entertainment options
- Provide real-time feedback about your experience
In addition, Western pioneered the use of Multi-Organizational Service Units in Arizona. Each of the hospital’s 24 inpatient rooms is fully equipped to serve patients at every level of care, so patients do not have to move from room to room even if their health status changes. Also, nursing stations are located directly outside of the patient rooms, so we can respond immediately to the needs of each patient.
